GK organic Farm -Dec 2012-

One of my goal is to teach my kid about nice, nourishing healthy food. GK organic Farm was really the best tool to help me achieve that goal.

They have tour organize where they teach everyone about the benefit of a "Zen" lifestyle including yoga, make you do a couple of breathing exercise.

Then explain what organic food rely is and why it is really so much better for you.

Also explain what is enzyme, how to make it yourself and how is it good for you... And give you a taste....

They then divide you into 2 groups, children and adults, give you big straw hats and then take you into a tour of the farm.

They show you all their fruits and vegetable and explain how they grow and deferent they are/ look from non organic one. I enjoy this part very much as they took the time to answer all the childish question from the children, and explain nicely about all the farm in simple terms for the kids to understand.  In the other side of the farm the adults go more technical...

After a bit of walking and a lot of learning we start planting. It is a bit basic for adults but very fun for the children. There again they explain how they put a seed in a small pot and let it grow then put it in the garden to let it grow bigger...

Then after that we go back to the farm hall and have a lot of fun eating their very, very good vegetarian food. It is for me the best vegetarian food I ever eaten in my life... forget everyday rice, veggies this was a lot more original....The kids love it too... I enjoy it so much I did not take any photos of it as I was too busy eating ....

Almost everybody was so comfortable there that even when the visit was finish they didn't leave. The adult continue drinking tea, talking with the farm staff and having a look at the mini shop.

The kids found something a lot more fun to do... playing in the water and mud!

So parents, bring extra cloths.... and make sure you have nowhere to go in a hurry afterward because it is just so hard to leave...

A other + is that the kids are so tired afterwards... They all sleep very nicely at night...

Bentong unknown waterfall....

Best Waterfall I seen so far in Malaysia! (But still have a lot to go!) Just over a hour away from KL it is a very good waterfall to go with kids as the water is not strong and shallow for the small one and a the bottom of the waterfall it's deeper, colder and a nice stone for the more adventurous to jump from.

Their is also on each side of the river sand beach ideal for the kids to play in.

My Husband, my 2 kids and occasional guess love to go there, and just breath the fresh air, listen to the sound of the water, enjoy our BBQ and enjoy the peace... (well as much as peace can go when you have 2 kids under 5!)

I also love this waterfall because it is unknown except from few local so only a few people are their... It is also easy to access with only a 100m slop. (little beat steep so hold the little ones hands).

Hear is how to go there from KL:

Go to the Karak Highway (E8) direction Kuantan.

After about 40 kilometers, at the second toll (Bentong toll), set trip
meter and continue towards direction Kuantan.

At 14.2 kilometers take Exit 813A (signposted Cinta Manis / Puspen
Karak). Go down ramp.

At 14.3 kilometers, go right at T-junction and make a U-turn through
the tunnel under the highway and follow highway back towards KL.

At 15.5 kilometers, take exit and follow small tarmac road.

At 15.7 kilometers, at T-junction turn left.

Follow tarmac road turning right.

At 16.5 kilometers, cross bridge.

Go through kampung - drive SLOWLY.

At 18.4 kilometers, park. There is a wide path going down to the
stream.

Hope you enjoy this place I sure do!

Let me know!
